The expert in soil
Tropical Slow-Release Plant Food is the reliable way to keep your leafy houseplants well-fed with minimal effort. This tropical slow release fertilizer provides a consistent supply of nutrients over time, making it ideal for Monstera, Philodendron, and other fast-growing tropicals. Especially effective in mineral substrates like SYBAStones, these tropical nutrient pellets ensure plants in semi-hydro or soil-free mixes receive balanced and steady care.
Tropical houseplants have a reputation for being hungry growers. Standard feeding methods often give a strong boost that quickly fades, leaving plants vulnerable to nutrient gaps. Tropical controlled release fertilizer avoids that cycle by delivering tropical release nutrition gradually. This approach mirrors how plants in the rainforest receive nutrients, helping them maintain steady growth, stronger roots, and lush foliage without the stress of sudden spikes.
Designed for use in setups like SYBAStones, this tropical long term fertilizer breaks down slowly, releasing tropical mineral nutrients directly into the substrate. One application supplies tropical care pellets that feed for months, ensuring reliable growth in both chunky and fine houseplant blends.
With tropical bio growth pellets, your plants receive a rhythm of nutrition that matches their natural appetite for steady energy and resilience.
Sybotanica designs every SYBASupport formula to be both effective and environmentally responsible. This tropical slow release fertilizer is clean, plant-safe, and tailored for real growing needs. Trusted by plant lovers across Europe, it offers more than convenience. It gives your tropical houseplants the long-term support they need to thrive, whether you are growing in a chunky aroid-style mix or a fine mineral substrate.
With Sybotanica, Tropical Slow-Release Plant Food helps your indoor jungle flourish, with consistent nutrition that works in harmony with modern growing methods.
Coated mineral fertiliser made in the Netherlands. Slow release plant food with its controlled release of nutrients through coating technology is the most efficient way of feeding. Because of the coating around the nutrient, you use much less compared to uncoated fertilisers, organic fertilisers and/or water-soluble fertilisers.
Another big difference is that there is little or no nutrient leaching. This is not only good for the substrate and water quality, but also for optimal uptake by the plants.

After ~180 days or when the plant stops growing and starts showing nutrient deficiencies.
We do not recommend mixing any of the SYBASupport Line fertilisers. Combining with Worm Castings & Lava gravel is possible.
For SYBASoil, We do still recommend waiting until the nutrients have run out (~6 months after repotting).
We wouldn't recommend it, as too many nutrients & underdeveloped roots can harm the plant. This fertiliser is a mineral one, it's more intense.
Instead use a more gentle BIO fertiliser from SYBASupport.
But don’t plants need different amounts of nutrients in summer and winter? This product helps with that!
The warmer it gets, the more nutrients will be released—less when it’s cold.
So you can apply year-round. We still would not recommend to add this plant food in the middle of winter, waiting until the early spring is ideal.
Yes you can!
Make sure the product is stored in a dry, dark & cool place.
Stored this way the fertiliser will stay good for years, after that it's effectiveness will start to drop.
If a plant isn’t doing well, adding fertiliser is like giving candy to someone with a stomach ache—it might make things worse.
First, check what’s wrong: too much water, not enough light, or pests. Fix those problems before feeding it.
If lack of nutrients is the problem, your plant might look pale, grow slower, or have yellowing leaves, especially the older leaves.
That’s when fertiliser can help—but always use the right type and amount to avoid overfeeding!
Mineral fertilisers are like fast food for plants—quick and easy but can run out fast.
Organic fertilisers are like healthy home-cooked meals—slower to work, but they make the soil better over time.
*For mineral substrates like SYBAHydro, we havent been able to find a suited bio fertiliser, that's why we sell the mineral fertilisers
All SYBASupport jars & bottles are made from 100% rPet (recycled & recyclable), remove the label and bring them to your local recycling facility under recycle code 1.
The scoops can be re-used and are from PP. You can recycle them under recycle code 5.
We are actively researching a way to create our own recycling services.
Liquid fertilisers are like a quick drink for your plants—they get nutrients fast but need more refills.
Slow-release fertilisers are like a snack that keeps unwrapping itself, feeding your plants bit by bit over time.
